Since 2011 Luca Butti and his wife are the owners of the gelateria Nonna Papera in Cantù.
He started as a cook after he completed the hospitality institute in Chiavenna. After 8 years of working in the kitchen and 1 year of engagement, he decided, together with his then fiancé (and a bit of recklessness), to dive into the gelato world.
They decided to invest in a small gelateria in Cantù and to combine his wife’s knowledge in PR and Advertisement with his experience in restaurants.
In 12 years, many things have changed: production methods, raw materials, continuous courses to optimise the product, size of the shop.
The ingredients that determine Nonna Papera's success are the precious partners, the attention to details, and the research and care of details.
